Kuunkuiskaajat’s New Album

Dear friends and partners!

We are Johanna and Susan, and together we are Kuunkuiskaajat.

Our band was formed in 2008 from our passion to create our own music. Our first album Kuunkuiskaajat was released in 2009 and one of its songs “Työlkillää” was selected to represent Finland in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. We are well-known also from world music band Värttinä,

Now we are fulfilling our next dream, the subsequent Kuunkuiskaajat album, which we have been preparing already for three years. This album will be fully of our own production and we have composed, written and sang all the songs. Our aim is to get our new songs out there for you and the whole world to hear.

TEAM:

The album will play with great musicians, Topi Korhonen (guitars, trumpet), Anssi Salminen (guitars, mandolin, fiddle), Kevin Knouna (percussion and drums), Juho Kivivuori (bass) as well as some great visitors. Musical works as a producer is Miikka Huttunen.

We have decided to take reins and will realize the next Kuunkuiskaajat album ourselves, with our own work and according to our own requirements. It will be done without instructions and demands from a record company and most of all without their financial support and dependence on them. In order toachieve this, we will need your help and support.

COSTS:

When you are producing a record to a high standard, as we want to, you need to cover all the following:

– Rent of a studio
– Recording engineer’s and guest artists’ fees
– The producer’s salary
– Mixing of the songs
– Mastering of the songs
– Printing of the CDs
– Album cover design
– Marketing

When we will have managed to collect:

9.000€ – we will record the instrumental parts of the songs
13.000€ – songs of the record will be mixed and mastered (without these youcannot make a record)
15.000€ – we will have in our hands a freshly pressed record
17.000€ – we will have in our hands a freshly pressed record with covers
20.000€ – we will have resources to market and promote the album
25.000€ – we can make a music video of one of the album’s songs

MESENAATTI.ME:

If you support our project between the 10th of March and the 31st of May you will help us realize our dream. As a thank you for your contribution you can choose from the following options:

1) The record in a digital format (downloading code) = 15,00€
2) Signed album before the release = 30,00€
3) Personal video greeting = 60,00€
4) Invitation to the pre album release gig + the record (min 20 persons) = 80,00€
5) A personal meeting with Kuunkuiskaajat before the album release gig + the gig = 120,00€
6) Pro-fan package (record x 3, video greeting & album release gig with themeeting, your name to the CD cover) = 250,00€
7) Kuunkuiskaajat playing in your party (1h) = 1.500,00€
8) Company gig with whole band (2h) = 4.000,00€
