That is what Veräjä’s upcoming music play “12 kosketusta” is all about. The play tells the story of a girl growing up in a world full of formative emotions.
Topics are i.a. finding one’s own way in life, and what makes a human harden and soften. How friendship, bullying and family life can influence our ability to preserve hardness and softness. The tale is a mixture of reality and fantasy.
The music theatre will be rehearsed and performed in the areas of Joensuu, Eno and Uimaharju. It is hoped to especially attract 12-15 years-old youngsters to participate, but the group is open for people of all ages. To this rural area, the play brings the unique possibility to engage in activities such as singing, acting, dancing and playing an instrument under professional guidance.
The music play will be performed in Spring 2016 in the area of Uimaharju (school/public performances), Kontiolahti, Ilomantsi, Liperi and Joensuu.
Team
Theater pedagog Eija Jalkanen, who’s run a play writing -workshop since March 2015 in Veräjä, will direct the musical.
Jarmo Jokinen from Jyväskylä is responsible of the lyrics.
Musician Joonas Nuutinen from Ilomantsi composes the songs.
Maiju Ahlholm, music pedagog from Eno, will exercise singers and musicians to their best performance.
Nona Näsänen & Veräjä -team produces the musical.
