What Love Weighs

What Love Weighs is a photography book about human relationships, comprised of two parts. The book illustrates the views of two photographers – a father and a daughter – on the thoughts awakened by multilateral family relations.

Adolfo Vera has photographed his encounters with his own parents, basing on his own relationship with them. The images are very personal yet also universal.

Nita Vera became interest in the theme of family relations after examining the pictures taken by her father. She ended up depicting the relationship between her father and her grandmother through absurdness and humour and later on expanded the project to also cover other close human relations.

The book is published by Musta Taide, a publishing company specialising in Finnish photography books, founded in 1991.
