Gather your information<\/h3>\n<p>Before submitting the notification, have the following ready:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the organisers&#8217; personal details and Finnish ID numbers (or business ID if you are an association)<\/li>\n<li>contact information: address, phone number and email<\/li>\n<li>the purpose of the collection \u2013 be as specific as possible about what the money will be used for<\/li>\n<li>estimated amount to be collected<\/li>\n<li>estimated expenses (opening a bank account, service fees, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>start and end dates of the collection<\/li>\n<li>IBAN of the collection account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"2-open-a-dedicated-collection-account\">2. Open a dedicated collection account<\/h3>\n<p>You must use a separate bank account for the collection. Funds cannot go into your personal account. Open a new account at a bank before submitting the notification.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"3-submit-the-notification-to-the-police-department\">3. Submit the notification to the police department<\/h3>\n<p>Send the pienker\u00e4ys notification to your local police department at least 5 working days before the planned start date. It supports both donation-based campaigns and reward-based campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>A donation-based campaign is suited to a pienker\u00e4ys: no rewards are offered to donors, the collection number is displayed prominently on the campaign page, and the campaign duration follows the pienker\u00e4ys rules (maximum 3 months).<\/p>\n<p>A reward-based campaign is the most common type on Mesenaatti. The campaigner offers something in return \u2013 books, albums, services or other rewards.
