“Helsinki Street + Shanghai Coca” is a photo exhibition presenting people and their lives in the two cities. The participating artists are Finnish photographers of helsinkistreet.fi and Chinese photographer Coca Dai from Shanghai.
\nThe exhibition is curated by YIN Zi and Ossi Kajas, and organized by Magito Studio. It is supported by the city of Helsinki as a part of Helsinki P\u00e4iv\u00e4 (Helsinki Day) on 12.6.2013.
\nHelsinkistreet.fi is a street photo blog exploring the city of Helsinki. It was established by a group of professional Finnish photographers in 2012.
\nCoca Dai is a rising freelance photographer working and living in Shanghai. He has been documenting the mundane life of Chinese people for a decade. Dai’s works have been awarded and selected by various prominent photography festivals in China, such as Pingyao International Photography Festival in 2013.
\nThis crowdfunding project is launched in order to support Coca to produce photo prints and to fly to Helsinki to attend the exhibition. He will have a peer-to-peer workshop with Finnish photographers and participate in other photography-related activities during his stay. It will be very important and meaningful for Coca to come to Helsinki to have interactive and intercultural communication with Finnish photographers. Both sides will benefit tremendously.
\nThis will be Coca’s first trip to Finland and Europe.<\/p>\n

Dain ty\u00f6 on saanut monia palkintoja ja h\u00e4nen valokuviaan on esitetty monilla merkitt\u00e4vill\u00e4 valokuvafestivaaleilla Kiinassa, esimerkiksi vuoden 2013 Pingyao International Photography -festivaalissa.
\nT\u00e4m\u00e4 yhteis\u00f6rahoitushanke on k\u00e4ynnistetty tukemaan Cocaa, joka tarvitsee rahoitusta ottaakseen kuvistaan n\u00e4yttelyvedokset sek\u00e4 lent\u00e4\u00e4kseen Helsinkiin n\u00e4yttelyn ajaksi. Helsingiss\u00e4 ollessaan Coca tapaa suomalaisia valokuvaajia workshopissa sek\u00e4 osallistuu muihin valokuva-aiheisiin tapahtumiin.
